Dr. Marc Taormina has a thorough understanding of both normal and abnormal physiology concerning the gastrointestinal tract. He specializes in the analysis of intestinal mobility, digestion, absorption of nutrients, removal of wastes, and overall metabolic processes.
Licensed in the states of Missouri and Kansas, Dr. Taormina is Double Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in the specialties of internal medicine, gastroenterology, and geriatric medicine.
Dr. Taormina is a native of Kansas City and is active in teaching, clinical research, and philanthropy. His special interests in esophageal disease, colon cancer screening, non-surgical hemorrhoid treatment, and inflammatory bowel disease. He is a board member of Missouri State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts since 2019 and is the Medical Director at Midwest Physicians Surgery Center.

Jennifer has been a PA for 19 years. She is dedicated to her work in medicine and places great value on listening to her patients to better understand their clinical concerns. Her background prior to Gastroenterology includes Endocrinology, Medical Research and Emergency Medicine.
Jennifer completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Chemistry at University of Missouri Kansas City in 1998. She completed a Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Southwest Missouri State University in 2001.
Jennifer is interested in preventative care, lifestyle modification and conservative treatment therapies when applicable. Medical research is an area of great interest and learning about new and exciting treatment options.
Jennifer lives in Lee Summit, MO with her two boys and her dog, Nala. She is an avid reader, movie enthusiast and enjoys running and yoga. She also loves to visit the ocean. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her family. They love to travel, watch movies and take trips to the Lake of the Ozarks.
Narin Tipton has been a nurse for over 20 years, she has been a certified family Nurse Practitioner since 2007. She has always been dedicated in taking quality care of her patients. As a nurse practitioner, she has worked in many settings including family practice, emergency medicine and gastroenterology.
Narin attended Research College of Nursing and Rockhurst University where she graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree with emphasis in Spanish. She earned her Masters of Science in Nursing degree from Research College of Nursing in 2007.
Narin is known for her patient-centered treatments and her emphasis on preventive care as well as her clinical skills. Her primary focus as a GI NP is managing patients with all gastrointestinal complaints including treating patients who are suffering from hemorrhoids.
Narin lives in Grain Valley, MO with her husband and 3 boys. They love music, the outdoors and camping, going to the pool during the summer and going to Royals games as a family.
